Estimates only. Costs exclude delivery, VAT and design fees unless you include them. Paper weight is worked out from a 90 x 55 mm card at your chosen gsm. We do not estimate carbon or water savings, because published figures vary widely with the paper, printer and delivery method.
How the calculator works
- Paper cost = people x cards each per year x cost per card x years.
- NFC cost = people x card price, plus yearly replacements and any profile page cost you enter.
- Break-even = the upfront NFC cost divided by your monthly net saving.
- Card stock avoided = paper cards not printed x card area x paper weight. It excludes ink, energy and delivery.
Your real result depends on whether people actually stop using paper. If your team keeps printing as well, the saving shrinks.
